Our framework for Operational Excellence consists of four main steps. Each step combines methodology and tools which in a consistently and efficient manner leverage the jointly expertice of Norbitech and our customer.

Value and Vision
Together with our customer we create a common understanding of what value to deliver to the end-customer. Through a initial value stream mapping we can assist in clarifying end customer values, hence validating vision and end-customer strategy. The outcome is a defined project program, with definite project scope, goals and milestones

Design for Availability and Manufacturing
Too many times material and technology choices are suboptimal: they initiate a good cost base but availability and supply could be scarce, leading to a poor total cost of ownership. We strive to urgently, after initating collaboration, analyse design for component availability and design for manufacturing. In this phase our customer focused teams apply structured thinking to ensure a solid foundation for success, through key tools such as:

  •  - Concurrent Engineering
  •  - Simulation
  •  - APQP process
  •  - Early manufacturing set up
  • Zero Waste - Zero defect process building
Our operational ambitions is zero waste, zero defect processes. Achieving 'near to zero' is the ultimate way to escalate benefit realisation both we and our customer can enjoy. We like to plan for this at once, so simulation, rapid prototyping and process evaluations are applied in this step

  • Integrated Value chain
We operate with transparency towards our customer, and at this stage we will visualize for our customer a long-term relationship through:

    •  - Benefit realization plan
    •  - Continuous improvement plan
    •  - Plan for just-in-time/ integration of supply chain
    •  - Technology development partnership
    •  - Investment in technology for the future market
